CHARACTERISTICS

» Parallel emphasis on the humanities and technology:
To enhance the ability to absorb and express new knowledge that is generated globally, the students are required to take a number of language and liberal arts courses. Engineers with practical technical experience from industries are also invited to lecture on special topics that might help students keep abreast with the current development of science and technology.

» Inter-departmental cooperation within the University:
The department provides training in integrated systems by cooperating with other departments of the university (such as the College of Design and the College of Management). Elective courses are offered in designing, developing and integrating such applied information systems as computer-assisted design, computer-assisted teaching, commerce and finance.

» Industry liaison collaboration:
Stress is placed on information product development for industry and commerce. Students reinforce professional skills and gain valuable practical experience through involvement in such projects.
